
Graham Buchner
Life Member Graham Buchner has been described as a ‘Warwick institution’.
Graham has had a long association with the Warwick Chamber of Commerce and has received a number of awards over the years for his contribution to the community including an OAM for Road Safety, a Paul Harris Fellowship from Rotary International, and 2017 Australia Day Citizen of the Year Southern Downs Regional Council.
Graham has been an active member of the Warwick Senior Citizens and Welfare Association, Warwick Show and Rodeo Society, Rose City FM, the Cancer Council, the Warwick Branch of the Leukaemia Foundation, the Road Safety group, the Liberal-National Party, Crimestoppers, the Motorcross Club, Queensland Trucking Association, Morgan Park Users Group and the Caravan and Motorhome Club.
Graham believes that you need to ‘get involved in community life and give back’. It’ll give you satisfaction in a job well done and it’s a good way of getting and keeping motivated. Keep at it as long as you can.’
Bob Lindenberg
Life member Bob Lindenberg has been involved in the business community for over 54 years.
Bob remembers being told early in his career as an electrician ‘if you look after Warwick, Warwick will look after you.’
Bob commenced employment with the Toowoomba Electric Light Company in 1951 and went on to start his own business with partner Les Styan in 1964.
Over the course of the next 5 decades, Bob helped train 50 apprentices, while being an active member in the Warwick community, and is a life member of the Warwick Golf Club, the Warwick Show and Rodeo Society and the Warwick Benevolent Society.
Bob advises to ‘keep your head down and be honest with your customers and do the right thing. If you look after your customers, they will look after you.’
