The WCoC Executive are thrilled to announce the centenary of the Warwick Chamber of Commerce in 2022.
One hundred years ago, a meeting of citizens interested in the formation of a Chamber of Commerce was held in the Warwick Council Chambers on Monday 16th October 1922. After some discussion, Alderman Barnes moved "that a Chamber of Commerce be established in Warwick" seconded by L.E. Evans. The inaugural meeting of the newly formed Warwick Chamber of Commerce was held in the Council Chambers on Friday 24th November 1922.
To acknowledge 100 years of advocacy, collaboration, education and innovation to the Warwick business sectors, the WCoC have introduced a special 'centenary levy' of $20.22 which has been added to current membership fees for 2022. This motion was passed at the WCoC General Meeting held on 6th Dec 2021. This levy will assist the Chamber provide a range of special centenary themed events and mementos of this significant milestone.
