Two great stories from these last two weeks:
The Shop Local campaign (Messages of Love and Hope) has been an overwhelming success. You will have seen the social media posts Julia Keogh has been putting out there, showing just how much interest this campaign generated. The lucky winning shoppers’ names will be drawn out of the barrel this coming week. A big thank you to those who donated to this Shop Local initiative, to those who organised it and to all those who took part.
The Networking Breakfast last week was also a great success. We can only have 30 guests due to COVID restrictions but the tickets sold very quickly. Robyn Fraser’s presentation was spot on, with timely and relevant advice for those present as well as offering some new ideas. One new idea that came from the breakfast was the need for a secret shopper in Warwick to provide relevant feedback to business owners and managers. The Chamber has taken this on and there will be a secret shopper active by 1 September.
Evening Network Events
The Chamber has been asked several times if we will organise Evening Network Events. The answer is Yes. We have scheduled the third Tuesday of each month commencing 18 August 2020.
Who would like to host the first one? Please contact me on 0413741602.
Last two weeks
The last two weeks have seen Julia and her team decorating the Palmerin St trees with the messages from the Shop Local campaign; further development on the website by Empower Digital (can’t wait for it to go live!); the Network Breakfast and undertaking the planning for the Chamber to become a local tourism organisation.
Next two weeks
There will be a General Meeting on Monday 3rd August via Zoom at 5.30pm.
See you there.
