Tracy Dobie
Tracy Dobie grew up in Warwick, and returned after almost 40 years working elsewhere in Australia and overseas.
Tracy’s working life includes 22 years in the Australian Army where she achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel; eight years working as a business consultant in Australia and overseas providing project management advice and training ; and three years with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) in the Arms Control and Counter-Proliferation Division.
In 2009 Tracy retired from the workforce and with her husband moved to a rural property in South Australia where they raised beef cattle. In 2014 they decided to move back to Warwick and purchased another rural property where they now live.
Tracy served as Mayor of the Southern Downs from 2016 to 2020.
Tracy has a Bachelor of Social Science majoring in Human Resource Development, Graduate Diplomas in both Management Studies and Strategic Studies, an Advanced Diploma of Project Management and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Tracy is a member of the Queensland Rural Fire Service and the Queensland Rural Regional and Remote Women’s Network.
